Kayak Demos

A Summit Sports Demo Day is an excellent way to discover which kayak will work best for you. Our expert staff and technical assistance will help you narrow your choices, but paddling the kayaks will help you decide. For virtually every kayak we sell, we have at least one in demo. We bring our whole fleet of kayaks, so there's many for you to test drive. This is absolutely the best way to buy a kayak.

What to expect:

At our demo's in addition to bringing our entire demo fleet of kayaks, we also bring Paddling Life Jackets, and Kayak Paddles. All paddlers MUST wear a life jacket! Unfortunately we do not have life jackets or kayaks for children, children under the age of 16 will not be allowed to paddle.

Expect to get WET! Wear shoes or sandals that can go in the water, in order to properly get in a kayak your feet have to get wet. While you paddle around, water often drips off your paddle, wear synthetic clothing or your bathing suit that will dry quickly.

Kayaks are just like cars, there are many to choose from, they are not all in one place, some are small, some large, some are sporty, some utilitarian. Also like cars, you may be worried about spending a bundle with out knowing for sure what you will get. So you test drive. Expect to spend anywhere from 45 minutes to a few hours at the lake depending on how busy we are and how many kayaks you wish to try out.

You wouldn't buy a car without test driving it, so why should buying a kayak be any different? We want all of our customers to try kayaking; we know you will love it as much as we do.
